I am a middle aged gentleman, my son is heavily into aircraft and drags me along to Manchester Airport several times a month to photograph the aircraft.
We are currently building a 1:500 scale diorama under his bed (high sleeper) so the size is around 1X2 meters, we have the board down and I am in the process of putting a sub base on the plywood to aid with putting in lighting etc. we have had the terminal 3D printed based on Dublin but will be used as a fictional airport, he liked the shape of Dublin airport
He has collected over 70 aircraft so far and continues to add to the collection, I have to keep buying display cabinets so he can have them all on display, running out of room in his small bedroom for anymore!
Anyway, that’s about where we are now, need to lay down the paper tiles for whole layout, IE runway/taxiway/stands etc.

This is our first diorama we have built, I have built train sets/dioramas when I was a kid so have some knowledge of what’s what.
