Each to their own but I'd rather HX keep being an affordable choice for good 747 choice than they fix the tiny details here or there but increase price to match NG or PH. I would trade some tiny neglegible details for a low price any day.

I always feel the NG's cockpit printing on the L-1011 is too small... while the main gear is too large and not as spread-out as the real thing...

Sometimes I even think this may just be their strategy, to decide release or not based on pre-order data... not sure if it's even legal... Or, do they have to survive with such pre-order cash flow?

TBH I'm very tempted to pick this one up, it looks really nice and comes with a stand, not to mention the bargain price.

yeah that makes sense. Phoenix did do both recently tho (tho 789 is still in the making), i think there 77w and 789 mould are old but still top notch.

Absolutely, although they have modified it a bit in recent Etihad versions, it is still a bit oversized and weird-looking. It'd be a huge improvement on an excellent A346 mould.
