I was going to ask guess the airport. The bigger picture.

I thought I’d fill the gap left by NG Models and create the Bauhaus World Tail in 1/200 scale. (only done before in 1/400).

Custom model No 198. AirUk Fokker 50. Operated in this livery between March 1994 and January 1998. Then transferred to KLM.

In January 2021 I made a 1/200 scale custom Aurigny ATR 72-600 using a JCWings donor model and I sent some photos of it to JCW and suggested they could put it on their to do list. In July 2025 a JCW version came onto the market but with a different registration. Co-incidence or was my suggestion...

25th Anniversary: In May 2018, VLM Airlines celebrated the 25th anniversary of its first scheduled flight between Antwerp and London City Airport, which had taken place on May 15, 1993.

Colour was difficult to match depending on which reference photo you use. May not be spot on but was the best I could manage. If you look at this profile and compare it with my original post you should be able to spot the error (now corrected).

I rarely make custom models these days but this showed up on my radar and I couldn’t resist giving it a go. This airframe began life with Dan Air in June 1989 but became VLM in March 2007. As far as I’m aware that after 36 years it’s still in operation with National Jet Express in New Zealand.

For anyone who might be interested these are the components used to create the image.
