JC also has a 1/400 C-130 it shares with GJ IIRC. Fingers crossed the sales of the bigger scale machine translate into 1/400 releases. I'd sure go for some of these.
Upon reflection, I'll wait on emailing Tom about VH-TQP myself until you have squared it away with him. Keeping the lines of communication clear and uncluttered seems the most appropriate at this point. Update us at your convenience and no matter the outcome, thanks again!
Cheers Dave, Richard here over in Adelaide, haven't seen you in ages. Hope you're doing well mate. I'll email Tom at CAMAus tomorrow too. Hopefully CAMAus can take some 'Boeing' VH-TQP's as well.
What is the procedure to order a modified version? I'm looking at a modification of -JSI but that release is an exclusive and the aircraft I'm after would be -TQP but it has the rego in a different spot and the Boeing titles. So a fairly substantial modification. Would this be doable at all? Or...
Singing Avgeek is correct. I was thinking along the lines of the -TQ* series aircraft which I had experience with. Thanks for responding. This thread moves awfully fast!
Yes that is the 2007 'bigfoot' 'roo. You are correct that it should be the 1984 kangaroo that actually looks like a kangaroo. Also I'm not seeing the 'Boeing' titles on the engines that these aircraft wore at the time I was flying them. IIRC the Boeing titles were removed when the aircraft were...
Thank you! That is wonderful news! I'll definitely be ordering it from you direct when it is available. (CAMAus are good and all but their prices can be steep.)
As the thread has moved on yet another page...
Forgive me. ;)
Yeah, I was holding out hope for Herpa to rescale its 1:500 too. Waaay back, Andrew Klein was even thinking about spin casting a 114 mould. Given the limited (4-6) livery variations (depending on how detailed you want to be) I think 3D printing is the only really viable way we'll see this in...
As for the Tu-114, 3D printing may be the best way to get the detailed and lanky undercarriage represented accurately and with enough strength in this scale. Plus that insane forest of propeller blades!
