Back in 2008-2011 I could get Dragon wings 747's, DC-10's, for 23USD (including shipping), and older Gemini models for 15GBP, 12 year old me was very enthused, with many of them rare now still in my collection. Won't find any stores like that nowadays.

I reckon this new mould will be aimed more towards the corporate side of the market. Hopefully the Chinese airlines order plenty of models to make it profitable.

Why not just change the rego? Never understood the controversy behind releasing a piece of metal with a piece of ink on it, the rego text doesn't matter as it's the same piece of metal either way.

Anyone know how many units are being made per release? Judging by NGs database less than 5% of the last few months of releases have sold out, where as the classic L1011's and SP's (not the re-releases of the Pan Am, ANA etc) would be sold out within a week. Bring back thinking outside the box!

Low quality brand with low quality moulds, I have a DC-9-30 and the the LG is about as high as the model itself.

I feel guilty about not supporting local retailers, but the amount they charge is crazy, pretty much an average of 90AUD for a 400 scale model. I wonder what the profit margins are, (keep in mind these are from online only retailers), I can get models from as low as 30-40 AUD (from Myhobbyhouse)...

Disappointed that there's only one A340, can't really see myself getting it since I already have the -600 in the same scheme, will think about it. Might get the LATAM though.

Yep, always best to buy multiple models in one order to save on shipping costs which is why I never pre-order models and wait for a bunch I'm interested in to order, if I do this, each model will cost around 20% less than purchasing locally.
